What is Capoeira?
Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art that blends movement, music, acrobatics, and rhythm into one flowing game. Born in Brazil, it is played in a circle called a roda, where two players trade kicks, sweeps, and dodges while everyone around them sings and plays instruments.
It is fitness, self-defense, dance, and culture at the same time — a tradition that builds strength, balance, confidence, and community. No two games are ever the same.

Mestre Cobra is from Rio de Janeiro and brings over 20 years of capoeira experience to every class. He is the son of Mestre Dentinho, the founder of Capoeira Auê — a deep family lineage at the very heart of the art.
Today, Mestre Cobra carries that tradition to Fort Lauderdale, sharing movement, music, discipline, culture, and community through Capoeira Auê. His classes are warm and welcoming: beginners feel at home, and experienced capoeiristas are pushed to grow.

The Capoeira Auê Tradition
Capoeira Auê is a traditional capoeira school founded in Rio de Janeiro by Mestre Dentinho. Today his son, Mestre Cobra, carries the tradition forward — bringing Capoeira Auê all the way from Rio de Janeiro to Fort Lauderdale, where he leads the group.
When you train with us, you join a real lineage that reaches back to the roots of capoeira in Rio — its music, its movement, and its community.
